There’s mixed news from Grace Episcopal, the clergy perjury parish.
On the one hand, the church has surpassed its pledge goal of $719,000. The bad news is that the toxic culture at the heart of Grace, in which people do church, instead of being church, remains alive and well.
It’s this culture where Sugarland Chiow can go to court with a personal vendetta. Where Bob Malm can commit perjury. Where the church can try try to drag a dying woman into court. Where it’s okay to lie, to bully, and even to urge others to commit suicide.
But hey — don’t like it? Then your name is mud in Alexandria. So there.
