Rector Candidates: This Should Give You Pause

Grace Episcopal Alexandria

This screen cap, probably more so than any other, illustrates the toxic nature of Grace Church, the clergy perjury parish.

In it, a then college-aged parishioner who grew up in the church not only uses the homophobic handle. “Eat_A-Dick,” but urges me to commit suicide. Nor is this someone on the fringes of the church; both her parents have served on the vestry, and as wardens.

It is a sad state of affairs indeed when this is the result of a lifetime in the church. You need to know that this exemplifies how Grace parishioners live into the baptismal covenant, for if you are serious about your faith, this is what you will be dealing with during your tenure with the church.

Nor should you think that this is a one-off misstep and that folks are sorry for their mistakes. As it happens, the church is in court, even as we speak, defending six lawsuits against it and various persons connected with the church, and trying to claim that the conduct in question is defensible.

It’s not.

See for Yourself: Member of Grace Episcopal Alexandria Urges Me to Commit Suicide

Want to see just how toxic Grace Episcopal is under Bob Malm? Here’s a social media post in which a college-aged member of the parish urges me to commit suicide.

The fact that Bob Malm, Jeff Chiow, the vestry, the diocese, and the members of this church try to defend this conduct tells you everything you need to know. And let’s not forget that the Diocese of Virginia says it fully supports Bob Malm and the parish. So clearly the diocese thinks this sort of thing is okay. That’s no surprise, though, since the diocese also thinks perjury is acceptable conduct for clergy as long as they aren’t criminally convicted.

If that’s your idea of a healthy church, or the Christian faith, no thanks. You can keep it.

Church Member Urges Me to Commit Suicide

Here’s an important reminder of just how toxic Grace Episcopal has become under Dysfunctional Bob Malm.

In this screen cap,,we see a post, believed to be from a member of Lisa Medley’s family. Lisa is a former senior warden, and has repeatedly lied about my experiences with the church.

Needless to say, anyone who thinks urging another human being to commit suicide is one sad individual indeed. Even more sad is that this individual runs in circles, and attends a church, that thinks this sort of conduct is okay.

Proof that Grace Church under Bob Malm is toxic, and in no way a reflection of actual Christian values.

Another Blast from the Past: Parishioner Urges Me to Commit Suicide

Here’s a post from a member of parishioner Lisa Medley’s family. Let’s just say that any family that claims to be “Christian” and thinks that BS like this is okay is one that I certainly hope will consider my name to be mud.

To make the irony even more delicious, this is something that Bob Malm attempted to assert in court somehow proved I had threatened him. If anything, it proves that Grace Church has threatened me.

Needless to say, proof that Grace is a toxic church.

New York State Senator Urges Opponent to Commit Suicide. Members of Grace Episcopal Would Approve

A state senator recently told an opponent, “Kill Yourself,’ via a tweet, but later deleted the tweet and apologized. That’s a step up from Grace Episcopal, where a college-aged member of the parish urged me to “go kill [myself],” but has never retracted her post. Moreover, the latter enjoys the tacit endorsement of the Virginia Episcopal bishops, as +Shannon has said, in writing, that he supports Bob Malm and Leslie Steffensen, and that “these matters were investigated and resolved long ago.”

So glad that these matters have been addressed to Bishop Shannon’s satisfaction.

In the meantime, if this is Bob Malm’s idea of “God’s Kingdom,” or +Shannon’s idea, they can keep it. No thanks.

Check it out.

See for Yourself: Profane Suggestion from Parishioner That I Kill Myself

During the baptismal liturgy, Episcopalians recite the baptismal covenant, which includes the vow to, “Respect the dignity of every human being.”

Check out this great example of the baptismal covenant from a college-aged member of the parish.
