Important Reminder: No Contact. Yes, that Includes You, Christine Cheevers

Well, it’s a shame, but apparently I need to repeat my earlier written requests to the parish, in which I indicated that church members, staff, and clergy are to have no further contact with me pursuant to Virginia Code § 18.2-60.3.

Under that provision, contacting someone after he or she says they do not wish to be contacted is prima facie evidence of stalking.

In other words, I do not want to hear from Christine Cheevers, Sally Schneider and her family, or others with their silly drivel about how Bob Malm is gone, how I’m being hateful, or their other nonsense.

Yes, he is gone, but the church has fully supported Bob’s perjury, smear campaigns, witness tampering, courtroom fabrications, efforts to go after Mike, attempt to drag my terminally mother into court,  and other misconduct, even going so far as to name part of the building after him.

As long as the parish lies by omission and refuses to tell the truth about Bob’s conduct, we have nothing to discuss. And that includes members who continue to pledge, donate time, and otherwise support a parish that tries to drag the dying into court, where the rector lies under oath, and more. I have no patience for people who think they can shrug off these issues.

Yes, I get that it would be convenient for the parish if I were to drop my opposition to its conduct, but life doesn’t work that way. And parishioners who advocate that sort of cheap forgiveness are exactly the reason the parish is in a state of precipitous decline. They have very little understanding of forgiveness, reconciliation, or even the message of the gospels.

Until the parish learns to take responsibility for its conduct, and that of its rector, its vestry and attorney Sugarland Chiow, I will continue to oppose its conduct. And I will file criminal charges in record time against Christine or anyone else who contacts me despite my request.

Happy Sunday!

Well, another Sunday morning on Russell Road as I protest 1,030 feet from Grace Episcopal.

Not long ago, Dysfunctional Bob rolled past. True to form, he drove on the wrong side of the road, although this time he didn’t stop to threaten me.

Sadly enough, only one Grace parishioner contributed to my Begin With Grace video. Gotta love those one-gun salutes to Jesus!

Meanwhile, given this Sunday’s forum, which is an update on the search for an interim, I offer this small contribution to the conversation: A screen cap in which Mom’s attorney expressed his opinion that Dysfunctional Bob, Sugarland Chiow and Grace Church are “coming at you with a personal vendetta.”

Grace claims to be a “center for healing.” So physician, heal thyself.

And prospective interims, beware. This is the mess that BM leaves behind.

See for Yourself: Vestry Talking Points Demonstrate Questionable Veracity

When you elect people to a church vestry or board, you expect them to be honest and diligent, right? Well, in the case of the Grace Church vestry, you’d have just cause to ask tough questions about the former.

Attached is the vestry talking points document circulated about this conflict. In it are several questionable assertions:
  1. The document asserts that I left on my own. If that’s the case, why did Bob Malm feel the need to send an email to me and Mike, telling us we are unwelcome? And by did he instruct church staff and volunteers to exclude us? For the record, I didn’t transfer my membership until 2017. And it was not until 2018 that Mike and I asked to have our names removed from all Episcopal church records.
  2. If there is no truth to my concerns, why then do I have messages like the one that follows, from Peter Barnes, then senior warden, which was sent after one of Bob’s spates of inappropriate behavior. In it, Peter is very clear: “It’s Bob, not you.”
  3. As discussed elsewhere, at no point have I threatened anyone at Grace Church, and Bob knows it. Indeed, his actions, in which he tries to use his role as clergy to discredit me, claim that I am mentally ill, and stoke fears within the church prove the accuracy of my underlying contentions.
  4. The use of inflammatory, prejudicial rhetoric in his pleadings, including his references to a non-existent church shooting in the equally non-existent town of “Sugarland Texas,” together with his treating this as a personal vendetta, underscores Jeff Chiow’s questionable ethics.
And, while I’m engaged in what Jeff  “Sugarland” Chiow delicately refers to as “ranting and raving,” for the love of the almighty, the header doesn’t get a question mark. Just because it references a question doesn’t make the clause a question. Sheesh.

Upcoming Protests and Leafleting

With Shrine Mont coming up, back to school, and perjuring priest Bob Malm’s upcoming retirement, there’s lots to do in the coming weeks. With that in mind, I’ll be leafletting a few remaining homes in Potomac Yards tomorrow, weather permitting, and protesting in several places this week.

Plans also include protests for the first day of classes at Grace Episcopal School, Dysfunctional Bob’s last Sunday and the bishop’s visit, and more.

Stay tuned!

P.S. Oh, and keep in mind it’s not perjury if Bob Malm didn’t know it was a lie. If he can’t tell the difference between truth and a lie, it’s not perjury!

Leafleting this Weekend

Today was a successful day. Why? Because I had my first 100,000 hit day in social media, after a couple friends generously reposted/retweeted my posts.

To build on that, I’ll be leafleting this weekend, in addition to the usual protests at Dysfunction Junction, aka Malm Square(d), Sugarland Circle, MOM’s, and a few other key digs. My goal is to do 500 homes, and I have chosen some key locations in Beverly Hills, Potomac Yards, and Del Ray.

So, here’s hoping for nice weather!

Check it Out: Visit from the Po-Po

Check it out: Visit from the Alexandria police department while protesting near Grace Church today. Nice guy, friendly visit.

I’ll be back tomorrow!

Protesting with SNAP

I had so downtime today, which I happily spent with members of the local chapter of the Survivors Network of Those Abused by Priests (SNAP). Great group, and I spoke to the media about my childhood experiences with a sexually abusive member of the clergy, as well as the non-sexual abuse I experienced at Grace Episcopal in Alexandria. Coverage on WTOP, NBC, and Fox News, including a statement by chapter president Becky Ianni.

See for Yourself: I Am Handing Out Leaflets Later This Week

I have some free time later this week, and will be leafleting broad swaths of Alexandria. You can see the leaflet below.

For the record, and before Jeff “Sugarland” Chiow and Dysfunctional Bob falsely claim that this activity violates the existing court order:
  1. Nothing in the court order addresses First Amendment protected activity such as this, nor can it.
  2. Nothing in the flyer is threatening (Bob Malm can spare us the “my wife thinks this is him making good on his threats,” lies and distortion).
  3. No flyers will be handed out within 1000 feet of Bob Malm, his home, or the church.
  4. I will at no point come within 1000 feet of Bob Malm, his home, or the church.

See for Yourself: Correspondence Between Chris Byrnes, Bob Malm, and Bishop Shannon

Gotta love a Tabor education; apparently, logic is not high on the list of priorities.

Here, we see Bob Malm asserting that he’s never met my mom, and thus her blog cannot be hers.

Non sequitor, anyone? Or should we class this as a fallacy of ignoratio elenchi? Your call.

This Week’s Protests

It’s shaping up to be another busy week of protests.

As things stand, I’ll be in one of the usual places Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday for rush hour, as well as several hours mid-day Sunday.

See you then!
